Here is my life out to you strangers.

Where is the fun in that?

But it is fun.

the safe kind.

Look,No one wants the people they know to read their thoughts.
why,you ask?

Leverage is all anyone ever needs to succeed.
So we hide and be careful and

it works like a charm.

but that is just sometimes.

The other times consist of the brave. the ones who lose and do not cry. the ones who are so defeated that they may rise.
the ones with irony, despair in every single drop of blood coursing through their veins.

the ones who win, know how to live.
the ones who don't are just learning to.

Now there is where the fun is.

look closely. very closely.
it will never be enough.

Tell mom I will miss her
She knows I love her more

I tried to not die,mom
It wasn't in my hands, you see
They kept a gun to my forehead, sis
And I prayed god to let me be.

They plundered in the rooms around
And dragged us wall from wall
Few stood by and some ducked down
Remember,It was never your fault
Cry yourself to sleep sounds not do bad.
Distract yourself is okay too.

But what If you want something else ?
What do you do?
You create a mechanism.

Take deep breaths. As many as you need to calm those thudding heart beats.
Take many. Calm.

Remember a day that was close to being perfect? Remember the feeling? Yes,that one.
Relive it.
It was your close-to-perfect-day.
Ofcourse you can relive it.
It's how you've been surviving this long. You want to feel that way again.

So then
It's a lot.
The day is as worse as it can get( or is getting)
And you take
One
Step
At
A
Time.

One by one,take it.
With me. Okay ? Okay.

One step at a time.
Tell yourself that 'it's okay,I am alright'
Even when you're not.
Keep the faith that YOU will be.

Believe in Something.
Believe in the nothingness of something.
Have faith.

"This too shall pass"

Calls her angel, but shows no remorse in her blood
He covers her body in bruises and scars
You don't understand just how beautiful you are

When he's done with her beating
He just stands aside
Wipes the sweat from his brow
And yells over her cries
He yells and he says
"You don't know what I've done for you!"
And hits her again

She stands in the mirror
She looks less alive
She lifts up her shirt to see she has five
Branded fingers on her side
She's feeling it all now
But she doesn't cry
She doesn't cry

You are too beautiful
Your heart wants something more
Those shades of blue on that face of yours
Hides that smile that beats in your chest

Indian students from Harvard went topless for a shoot to give out the message-
A woman's body is her own.
Their website, embodyindia.tumblr.com, has put down a powerful letter revolving around the Deepika-ToI row.

Excerpts from the article -:

To walk down the street in India as a woman is to understand the complexity, discomfort surrounding feminism and women’s rights in India. Whatever one wears, however unengaged and stoic one may be, the very presence of a women in a public, likely male-dominated space, ‘invites’ attention. Those that might show a shoulder or a midriff? Well, they’re obviously ‘asking for’ the leers, the whistles and the lip-smacking.

In their recent op-ed, the Times of India asks mockingly if Deepika thinks that they should ask her for permission every time they print her picture. What Priya Gupta and her associates do not understand is the intent behind the publications photographs: Consent, of course, to the Times of India, is a laughing matter, and public shaming, apparently, is an acceptable tool to make a point. Publishing a picture of a person’s breasts, surrounded by red arrows and circles, is ultimately no better for a woman than being ogled on the street: it is an act equally lacking in consent, and one that has much greater potential to harm and violate a victim. Yet, this is not the vocabulary one sees used by the Times of India, because a woman going to a bar in a “slutty” outfit is asking for it. A woman out at night, is a hypocrite—if she’s such a smart, independent woman, she should know better. If she gets raped, shame on her for losing her virtue. If we cannot expect the press—the philosophical ‘Fourth Estate’ and protector of our democratic rights—to show women respect, how can we start to expect respect for the state? Public discourse on women’s rights in the media and in civil society is couched in offensive and insufficient rhetoric, as are many of the articles of this publication.

A daily publication, however banal their content is, stoops to ad hominem attacks, the immature re-publication of photo-shoots, and utterly insipid arguments like: “Deepika, just for the record, we do not zoom into a woman’s vagina or show her nipples. As a newspaper, we take every care to ensure that we pixelate them if they show up in a picture.” (How mightily conscientious of them!) It is utterly abhorrent that the Times of India felt that “Deepika chose to raise a furor and suddenly felt ‘violated’ only during the release of her movie Finding Fanny,” and further, that writer Priya Gupta chose to put the word ‘violated’ in quotation marks, as though Deepika as a woman, her fears for her own and other women’s privacy, and the broader question of misogyny and the sexual objectification of women ought not be the legitimate concerns of the paper or the public.

This issue doesn’t just concern women. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. We do not doubt that Indian men are capable of respect, love and affection towards women; and the movement we are launching includes both genders. It is time we speak meaningfully about these issues, and start to accept women for who they are and who they choose to be in the most holistic way.

The Times Of India being a respectable Newspaper published an article accusing Deepika Padukone,a leading actress of showing her cleavage in a recent event.

The same newspapers who with along the others have been condemning rapes and eve teasings probably does not know how exactly to respect women if they have published the above article.

It's been happening to many Actresses but Deepika is the first to raise a voice against this.

Let's put a stop to this and
Respect women for real this time!

I tremble at your slightest touch
And leave you alone, think I might
Without even the smallest fuss

Living in terror all the time
Maybe does make me a coward
But living a lie with you Oh so fine
Doesn't let me go forward

With some thoughts
here i stand
infront of you
As i try to tell you we've got
To talk about some things too

To the world of lies and torture
You may seem oh-so-fair
But when i look into the future
I dont see you anywhere

As hard as it may seem alright
Living a lie aint so bad
But think of the promising light
That makes you feel maddening glad

You gave me a scar on a winter noon
And you thought you'd marked me so
But here you are,the same loon
who was a lover,a friend and a foe

Every day and every night,i pray
To god that he lets you stay alive
or even if he plans some other way
In solemn peace,you die.

Being your soulmate, out in the sun
Gives me terrors and chills
What our world does for sheer fun
Makes the other’s voice shrill

You,me and us all the way
Our bond has come to survive
And all aboard as they say
We've got each other to revive

She is gonna change the world and she doesn't even know it yet.
So there's this friend of mine, and she is what you and me and everyone calls one of the Brilliant minds I have had the opportunity to meet or witness.

What's so Brilliant about her, you ask?
Everything.
The way she embarks on a new journey everyday and never gives up and has the guts to look everything and anything in the eye and be brave.
The pride she has in her voice when she tells me how her parents are the reason for everything that she stands and hopes to stand for and more.
The life she has in her eyes when she talks about something she is so much interested in.
The love I have seen in her just for her friends and family. Her fun nature, her lively jokes, her ability to make everyone smile and so much more.
I could never say no to her no matter what I did, or she did. For all I know I might do everything for her and that would seem less but she won't ever let me do anything for her. Even she hasn't done a thing in her life for herself. There isn't an instance I find where I could find her selfish.
The fight I see and have seen in her all the days we have spent together, the fight to be better than her best.

She is the fire, no water, ice or rain can put out.
She is life. And she doesn't even see it.
A cruel joke indeed but a very well planned one too.

When I see her or when I remember her.. My memory can never recall once when we fought.. I do not know how but we have never fought and still pride ourselves to call each other's best friends because that's the way we are.

Even if months would to go by without us talking, one phone call or message would and will be all it would take to get all that time covered. That's how we simply are.
And I pride myself on knowing that.

My friend is destined for greatness and is going to change the world.
I hope she gets to know it someday.
I hope I tell her this someday.

Until I know?

The last posts I've written have been very serious and while I was on my way to bid one of my oldest friends’ goodbye for two long years, it struck me.
I should try something light and mundane too because that is exactly what makes the interesting days interesting, If you know what I mean.
Days aren't just interesting because people or even we say they are. Days are figured as boring or interesting compared to the other days of the week, month, year or even a decade.
A person who has had travels all around the world would have different views on interesting things compared to the person who has never ever stepped out of his hometown.
That is it.
Everything we know and talk about is a comparison. What we find acceptable is only that way to us because the other stuff isn't.
Truth is the truth not because it really happened but because all the other versions of it are lies.
People are compared, statistics, logistics, marks, problems, achievements, EVERYTHING we know is that way because the others aren't.
Think back to the moment you met the person you value most in your life at the current time. Or in some cases where you actually don't have one, take any example from your environment.
How did you meet them? What is it that drew you close enough? The point of all this is that you wouldn't have been this close to the exact same person if there would have been two like him/her at that same moment.
Let’s face it. You liked him/her because you didn't like the rest the same.
And now all of you reading this would think "No, I liked him/her because he had something in him/her, not because the others didn't" and now I'll tell you why. Because all of you like every other human being would find it degrading to be compared, to find the other human measured in front of you and I agree it is threatening.
But then again, that is how I could tell you the role of comparison in everything we do or we claim to do every second of every day.

Why do we compare while we can just feel our way into events? Into things?
Until we know.
Cancer grows out of normal cells in the body. Normal cells multiply when the body needs them, and die when the body doesn't need them. Cancer appears to occur when the growth of cells in the body is out of control and cells divide too quickly. It can also occur when cells forget how to die.

Cancer

A zodiac sign

And a deadly disease

Cancer was first discovered by Hippocrates who called them by the name "carcinos"
Time after time, cells were discovered and many other types of cancers too.Scientists classified the cancer into benign and malignant and hence the research started.

Most of the scientists concluded that there was almost no cure to this disease according to them.

There is no cure.simple as that

But as the human tendency is,they always have to have more. They have to know more than before, create more than before and be everything the preceding generations couldn't be and this profound tendency was one of the many reasons scientists didn't give up their thirst for knowledge and also its cure.

The world changed because of some rare abnormalities in the human cells.People died because of this.

Millions of scientists have been and are still giving their life's work to finding the cure of such a disease which brings alarm and death into the eyes of people.Slow, painful death.
Cure, wherever it may be will come to someone, someday and that is our sole hope.

The cancer disease takes away a lot of life's and it doesn't believe in keeping count.Well, nor do we.

We have accomplished to go to the moon and back, fight wars, fight for our freedom and we have come such a long way which should only serve as a constant source for motivation for finding this cure and working it out to such an extent that we ensure there isn't even a single life being taken on the hands of incurable slow death-giving cancer.
What if the cure of cancer would have been found by the same people who discovered it?
If the millions of lives taken from our world wouldn't have been taken away?

The story again would have been different.
Until we know.

16 DECEMBER 2012

A Girl was beaten up and raped in a bus.

To look at it more closely, a 23-year-old female physiotherapy intern was beaten and gang raped in a bus in which she was travelling with her male companion. There were only five others in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman.

The incident generated widespread national and international coverage and was condemned by various women groups, both in India and abroad. Subsequently, public protests against the Government of India and the Government of Delhi for not providing adequate security for women took place in New Delhi, where thousands of protesters clashed with security forces. Similar protests took place in major cities throughout the country.

The people all over the country sent messages.organised strikes.fought over news channels to ensure that the girl fighting for her life gets justice.Women get justice.

I cant help but think,What if this wouldn't have happened? If this heinous act of lust wouldn't have taken place and that girl, whose name was not released by the media but still had several names such as damini, nibhaya had lived?

Would our government be this alert about our women's security?Would new rectified laws be created like they are being now?

Would people all over the country join as one to fight for justice like they are now?

I don't think so.

The things that are changing around here, however amazing they may be for a start still do not justify damini's death and they never would.

A life was taken away as if it didn't matter and no one who was anyone at that time did anything.

There were 4 other people instead of the driver, wouldn't it have changed if even one of them had thought it all out?If one of them had not given in to the magnifying voice of his lust?

It makes you think. The story would have been so different.

Yes,maybe if that would not have happened, women wouldn't have been safer like they are now and maybe laws wouldn't have been modified but she would have lived.

Why does the government need a death as a wake up call? Why not close calls to these acts are being noticed?

After this case was brought to light, rape cases were started taken seriously, statistics were matched on the number of rapes in state wise and it was a national issue.

What puzzled me though is that all of this existed before this unfortunate massacre too but at that time did it not hold the same importance? If not then why?

Does a death signify what it takes for our people, the Indians to get serious?

Why death and why not terror? Why does it believe in being sorry than safe?

Every life is valuable,so we are taught but here lives are being scattered around just so something gets done and something changes.

Our world is about making changes. I believe in making changes.
But not through loss of lives. That isnt what a change is worth.
Do no harm. Isn't that the rule?
What if the rape would have never happened?

The world would have been different.

Until we know.
